Resident permit

So, we have to have the resident permit... I went to the city hall and did the whole thingy.. 
They said they were going to send us a mail, telling us where to pick our resident permits from and when.
We waited for so long.. Finally the mail came.. woot woot!
So my friend, I don't know why thought that it's in Hengalo.. 10 minutes away from train.. We went and looked for the place, and the lady said there is no 'IND' building here.. it's in 'Zowelle' 50 minutes away... And it was late already as I mentioned things close here at 6.00 pm.. So we decided we'll go some other day.
I think two days later we woke up early and decided we'll go. I was so excited and I thought man I won't take any bag today I can't hold stuff and all.. woot woot.
We went all the way there, changed 2 trains in order to reach.. It was really very cold. Took a taxi to the place though it was next to the train station -fail I know- but we didn't know the place and the stupid taxi took us all the way around instead of telling us it's nearby.
We went to the building.. And we had  to give them our passports or ID cards in order to get in.. SH*T.. As I didn't take my bag, I had no ID or passport.. the man said ok I'll let you in..
when it was time to pick the resident permit.. the man in said I can't take it without ID or passport.. F*ckin fail.. I went all the way 50 minutes for nothing. 
But hey.. My day wasn't ruined... we went around the city.. 
The weather was beautiful .. and the city was quite dead but I enjoyed entering the shops and seeing the place!

I don't know when will I go to zowelle again.. 

The Netherlands

So yeah, once again I stopped blogging.. But here I am !
I've been here since Feb 9.. Long trip From Oman to Netherlands, TBH I don't remember how many hours have I been in the plane.. all I know I was excited!! [ My friend just said 7 hours =P ]
It was extremely cold when I arrived.. People also said that the coldness is odd, I mean.. it's more than usual. But I loved it!
The people are nice actually, you just have to ask for help.. They won't know you need a help if you didn't ask.. DUH!
It snowed too.. The view and the place was so lovely!! 
But life here is too damn expensive.
I live in Enschede, 2 hours away from Amsterdam. The Uni I go to -Until June only- is in Deventer.. 45 minutes away from my city by train.. it freaked me out in the beginning but you can't help but get used to it yeah?!
My class is filled with Chinese, and one Russian guy .. Believe me it's so much fun =P and they're cool, very funny and friendly people!!!
Life overall is very expensive.. Agh.. But I'm loving it ..<3
I sometimes miss our housemaid xD because I feel lazy but hey.. I do cook, clean and do everything by myself. Not like I depended on the housemaid when I was back home, but cleaning dish after a good yummy meal can be hard =P you know!
Sometimes I feel bored, because unlike Oman.. Everything closes here at 6, they don't have shopping malls and since it's winter all the theme parks are closed, everything fun will open by April. In Oman we cry coz things close at 10.. come here and see =''''[ .
But we have cinema and bowling center, I dislike bowling so we haven't gone there yet. Cinema is spammed =P
I also visited other cities here... I'll blog about them later..

Luji & the tree!

So 2 nights ago we were watching 'Taree zameen par'. Hindi movie, by Amir khan.

It's amazing movie that talks about special need kids, and those whose parents don't understand them and kids related issue.

So there was this part, where Amir Khan was telling the kid's dad, that there is this island, whenever people want to cut the the trees off, they don't use any tool. They instead, say bad words and swear at the trees, next day the tree dies by itself. This shows how words have big effect, if a tree dies, then it effects more on human beings!

Luji - My 8 years old lovely baby sis- asked me what did he mean, so in simple words I explained.

Today, Luji is hyper ever since she's back of school.. First she was playing alone with herself, she was the teacher and there were her imaginary students, and how cute she is .. Teaching them I couldn't help but laugh =P

Few minutes later I saw her sitting next to our money plants, here in the house and when I focused she was saying 'You're a nice tree, grow up fast' 

I laughed again .. Isn't she just the cutest thing?

She spoke to all the trees and told them they're nice, and some cute words..

I remembered about the movie and what I explained.

OMG aren't kids just so cute and innocent?! I love her, and what she did shows how much she cares for things around her.

Cockroach.. Another blond moment.

So i was on the way to get something from the last room in the house. I always say 'out' because this room used to be our from yard but we build walls and some glass, and it's something different =P 

Dad and my bro were sitting in the living room, and dad asked me to get him water on the way back, there is a cooler outside so I took what I wanted, and filled the glass with water, and went in to hand it to dad.

It seems like Dad and my bro were talking about the cockroach, I handed him the glass and he wanted to give me something to throw in the dust bin on my way back, he said 'the wonders of cockroach' I immediately took back my hand and the thing fell on floor, while I made scared disgusted sound xD !!

My dad and bro were looking at me like WTF 0.o

Dad : Filly? 0.o

Me : What? I thought you're giving me a dead cockroach to throw.. sorry sudden strong reaction.

Dammit, turned out it was muffin's paper...

LOL.. 

Where would a cockroach come from in this time 0.o and it's not like we have any in our house.. What was I thinking..

Volkswagen!

Okay so one more blond moment.

Today I was catching up with a friend ... So I asked 'What do you do?'

My friend said "Assistant Manager for Volkswagen France"

I tried to recall what's Volkswagen but my brain failed to help me, so I just said 'assistant manager is good, I'll google Volkswagen later."

FML.... I DON'T KNOW WHAT'S VOLKSWAGEN!

and well, my bestie who always explains when I get stuck in such situations was sleeping ... WHO SHUD I ASK?!

so... My good friend made me feel like an idiot ofx saying 'you don't know Volkswagen?'

the first thing that came to my mind is WWE! I said in myself OFX it's one of the wrestlers I keep on hearing such names and yes what else would Volkswagen mean?!

And I couldn't hold my tongue, said ' Yeah I guess it's something related to WWE'  x_x !

Well.. Thank god this was not face to face otherwise the rainbow on my face would show, dammit.

O I learned that Volkswagen is car company something  that sells golf and Audi w u know such stuff... =P

Basal problem sovled !

So mom called the nurse last night, and told her what happened. The nurse suggested I'd go to the hosp and discussed it with the doctor there.

Doctor is available on Tuesdays only, and today is Wednesday.. But somehow he came to the clinic, for me.

And when I told him, he said ' ah, that's good u knew how to react at least'

And it's the same dose like I set it..

I'm a genius.. 8 years is not a short time =P

Basal trouble.

Reminder : I have diabetes and this one is about it. and for more information you may check earlier posts to know about the machine I'm using [ pump ]

So basically what I didn't mention in that other post, is that there are two main things in the machine :

1- bolus

2- basal.

Basal insulin is the "background" insulin needed throughout the day to maintain your target glucose values when you are not eating. Your basal insulin accounts for about half of your daily insulin requirements. Your insulin pump mimics your pancreas by delivering insulin continuously over 24 hours.

While bolus is the insulin I get after calculating blood glucose and the amount of carbohydrates I eat.

Basal is always fixed, don't have to change it.

Tragedy happened last night when I changed the battery of my machine, and I put it on the wrong way.. the machine wasn't working for like 10 minutes? and then I realized that I have put it the wrong way, I fixed it.. It worked but to my surprise all the information disappeared. And what's worse is that I don't remember what was the basal setting.. 

I felt like the world is spinning, I literally live depending on this machine.. I tried to calm down -nothing around me helped me calming down tho- and I did what I remember.. 0.800 units and then after 12 hour 1.00 unit.. 

Told my mom today -thank god everything is normal so far-

Bless my mom, she got me the nurse's number.. But I really feel so embarrassed.. I'll be like 'oh hey, I have this pump since 3\4 years now but I don't know what my basal is..' lol..

I Just can't get bored from Caitlyn. Most of my friends tell me I should change and try other champions, I do but I love playing Cait Always!!

Well, I put it on my blog and was so happy about it and felt like getting the feedback about my blog generally, but I had to remove it because some people posted stuff that are a bit inappropriate. I know who they are and gave them hint that I know it.. they are my friends.

What they don't get is.. that this is a public blog anyone can view or read. Like, my family members too?!

Would you like it if someone spoke this way publicly to your family member? think about the reaction lol..

I've created this blog so I can share my thoughts, and get feedback, there are always places and time for joking but not like that publicly.

Customer Service!?

So everytime I go to the supermarket, shops or anywhere here which they should have a good customer service, I see employees always frowning [ If thet were Omani!] and it always made me wonder how can a customer come to this place when the employee is like that, I'd rather go to somewhere, where I'm welcomed with a smile, you know!

But then it all changed, and I slowly understood why do they frown.

Well in the last three days of Ramadhan, where all the beauty parlors get all so crowded, women want to get ready for Eid, Mom's cousin offered me a job for 3 nights only, I'd welcome the customers see what they want and give them a number so that there would be some kind of order, discipline .. I welcomed every customer with smile and was sweet with them, some of them had very bad respond lol they either ignored or just yelled. What pissed me off the most is when I was sitting there calling numbers and this lady started talking in language I don't understand and shouted I rudely said 'yes ma'am what's your problem' raised my voice as well that's when she felt that hey this is not any girl who would remain silent and yes I fought with her and shut her up but it frustrated me, and then I wore a frown for a while, but went back to smiling to others again. What's their fault when an ignorant woman reacted this way with me, right?!

That was too much for me, I'm a very sensitive person and such incidents wouldn't leave my mind alone I'd think of em again and again and yes I'm a person who loses temper very fast.

I wouldn't blame other employees for wearing frowns and NO .. customer is not ALWAYS right.. 

Someone has to put the red line for such people, but hey who's gona listen to me?!

One hour away from the capital, where I live.

Thanks to the awesome weather, the place was so fantastic!

Another Family trip that was on the  9th of nov 2011. We left the capital and went to this awesome resort. The whole family again!

Reached at 2 something, and well we had too little options for lunch so we decided we'll have KFC! sent 2 cousins of mine to get us the food ... it took them hour and more to come back mean while my cousins and I went for a crazy walk around the place and took lots of picz! The beach was madly filled with Jellyfish and Starfish and it was scary.. kids were playing there and well caught some.. Eww xD they disgust me!

Food arrived finally at 5.30 AGAIN! So we just sat there at the beach randomly and ate =P God we were really very hungry. With songs and talks ... that was so much fun!

After that we had 2 hours break, and then they called us all down where we sat in front of the restaurant and waited.. Till my cousin brought a cake and we surprised my other cousin, it was her birthday! Then we went for dinner. Let me say honestly, I didn't really like their food, or sweets [Shangri la's food is yummy!]

and then we had this walk and watched the fish fly [ or like how this cute kid said haha they were jumping] and it was a nice view!

Went back to the room and talked a bit then everyone went off to sleep.

I don't know why but I couldn't sleep at that night for some reason, I can say that I closed my eyes at like 6 AM ? What I remember mom waking me up saying that I scared her coz she called million times and rang the bell and no one answered.. agh !

we went for Breakfast and I had black tea only, wasn't really hungry. Went to the beach after that and none of my cousins came so I felt a bit upset and went back to the room. Mom called me and said they were going on banana boat ride so I went down again and no one was there.. Went back to the room feeling really very pissed off. Later on My cousin ping'd me a lot on my BB and said we're going, I said no thanks but then she insisted so i said ok..

Went down and wore the safety jackets, and we were on this boat.. In the beginning it was slow and nice but then the fun begun when the captain went fast.. With every wave - I was standing - I jumped.. it was fuuun and we were shouting the whole time.. There were some big waves which made me jump n fall, but I enjoyed =P - So bad dad couldn't join.. he had to go to work  =\ -

After the awesome boat ride my uncle, two cousins and I decided we'll go for the banana boat ride - again I felt bad coz dad wasn't here, he'd be so excited and would've joined! - and we went.. boom we fell for the first time, it was hard for me to get back on the boat, first coz I'm short second my clothes got heavy xD so my cousin held my hand n helped me go on again.. 2nd time okay.. 3rd time my cousin kind'f came back and he bumped into me while the boat went upside down.. I couldn't really feel my hands, I almost cried it hurt so bad .. so I decided I'll take a break, the rest completed.. But then when it was the time to go back I said I wana ride for the last time since it's the ending and we balanced well, but when we were there we made the boat flip and we fell =P I was too scared I'd step on Jellyfish or a Starfish but thank god I didn't.

 Had hot shower and then we went off, it was check out time

Well my aunt went alone the rest of us decided we'll go have lunch together.. And we decided to go to Seeb's McDonalds, which 'I'm CID' incident happened, check for the other posts =P guess what we had lunch at 5 as well hahah

All i know later is, I came home and slept at 7 PM.. and woke up today,...

felt good

Jabal Shams

Which means in English 'Sun mountain' . 

It's a place here in Sultanate of Oman, that I only visited couple days ago [8th of Nov 2011]

Monday night the whole fam made a fuss, whether to go or not, since the news on TV said that the weather will be rainy and lots of other stuff which only meant DON'T GO OUT!

But well my dad<3 said there is no need for all this rubbish, we'll see in the morn how the weather is and even if the fam didn't wana join we'll just go and enjoy! 

He managed to convince em all, so we met at 1 in our usual meeting up point, and the journey begun !

I slept for the first hour and then enjoyed the songs, the weather was breathtaking .. cloudy and lovely!

we reached the resort at approximately 5.30? 

There were slides and swings, very tiny ones for kids but I felt really crazy so I swung and slided with them .. we took photos too.. I was hyper as usual =P 

@ 6 maybe,  we had lunch HAHA -the usual lunch time whenever there is a family gathering trip! - It was dark already.. and I was really very hungry so I ate a lot -uh well nothing new I'm in love with food anyways!-

After that my brothers, cousin and dad went to play vollyball, and the kids joined us from time to time, it was so much fun.. we played Volleyball with a football actually LOL so yeah I broke a nail =[

2 hours of volleyball, dad and cousin left. my bro and the kids stayed, and I forgot to mention that some Indian kids that were in the same resort joined.

Other 2 hours of Volleyball .. Then my little bro called us for the BBQ. 

it's always about food, in our Fam haha! =P

It was really very cold, the mountain is so high and it was night time we were freezing! there was a bonfire too.

After eating, we all sat around the bonfire making a circle. And everyone was so quiet, I guess we were feeling cold enough to talk or move haha!

Then came the epic time, we played 'Antakshri' It's indain name for a game that's all about Singin n Songs!

So you sing a song, and the other team should sing a song with the letter that first team's song finished with. And we always play hindi songs, since the whole fam are playing.. and well the only common songs that all listen in HINDI!

Dad, Aunt and Granpa were in one team which only meant us -the other team- will lose coz they know more songs than us.. And what was funny is only coz they know more songs aunt and dad kept on singin same songs and we felt dumb coz we don't remember or know, and Granpa made up his own songs HAHA that was hilarious!

Last game we played was 'Chinese whisper'. In this game, a person whispers a word to the person next to him, and so on until the last person and then the last person should say it loud. You can't imagine how funny it gets, like from the word 'banana'  the last person would hear 'sand' REALLY try it. And you're not allowed to repeat the word to the person next to you, they only should transfer what they heard.

We laughed a lot, and it was really freezing and we were tired. So like when it was 12 or 1 AM we all went to our tents and slept.

In the morn, there were sheep and goats everywhere and it was funny how kids chased them =P

One awesome trip I'll never forget <3

I'm CID!

Yesterday only, after coming back from long trip from Mellinium Hotel we stopped at Mcdeez, the one in 'Seeb' for lunch.. And guess what our lunch -as usual in family trips- was at 5 LOL. 

We all were so tired.. and sitting waiting for the food to arrive, I wonder why do they call it Fast food when the food comes after 15 minutes! So anyways we were waiting when suddenly a dark skinned man entered and he was drunk, looking so scary was saying 'Eid mubarak' and he was begging for money.. I got so scared actually xD he  went to my granpa who was checking if the kids started eating yet.

He said : ' Salam Alaikom, Eid Mubarak.. give me some money'

My granpa told him ' get out respect the fact that there are women sitting here, and Families!'

He said  : 'I'm Omani'

Granpa : 'I'm Omani too now get out!'

and he led him to the door, and came back..

The drunk man started saying words we didn't understand .. Then he took out a card and said : 'I work in CID!'

We all cracked up laughing.. dude! if you work in CID why would u come and beg for money.. SERIOUSLY?

ah drunk men!

and well, no one should ever give money to such people because they waste it on alcohol anyways.. Meh!

Make up?!

It always annoys my mom how I'm not so very interested in make up.. like other girls!

Mom is a beautician, to start of..

Unlike my 8 year old sis who's obsessed with make up, I love EYELINER and LIPSTICKS only!

And when I say eyeliner, I mean the thick style one...

Few minutes ago, I ran to mom, and said ' MOM!! there is this make up style that i really love, and want u to put it for me next time we attend any wedding!' 

She got excited, I was talking about make up for the first time..

so I took my laptop to show her the style, I showed her this..

Trololo, I know..

What I meant is, I like the way she put her eye liner, I've always liked Avril's eye liner style, a bit of Emo and Punk u know.. always thick!

She was like, 'oh this! it's not a make up, it's more of monster style -.- '

argh ... What should I do, I love it ok!!

So my bestie and I were talking.. 

About players!

The get to know this, jump to that... love both.. and the third too! You know how it goes..

Bestie : ' I was thinking, and I came up that most of players are actually GAY!'

Me : ' huh?! what do you mean?? '

Bestie : ' see, a guy turns into a player when he figures out that he's gay actually, so to convince himself otherwise, he goes around with lots of girls, this and that.. u know!' 

Me : ' it actually does make sense... '

And as I was thinking about it,my bestie knows some players, and looking into their records, there were some stuff that showed gay facts about them... 0.o like with proves u know !

in '90210' there is this guy, Teddy.. He's known as player until later on he can't help it, and he jus deals with it, the fact that he's gay actually and was fooling himself.

I can't mention names - too bad- But I'm sure more than anyone about those, who r claiming to be players when they're not... and the gay hidden facts about them..

May god help them lol I think they should try to solve it in some way instead of turning into players!

Well, it's something my bestie and I came with... there may be other more reasons..

Call me a gamer, I play one game only.. okay maybe two, if u count sims =P

Few years back ask me to play Wow [World of warcraft] LoL [ League of legends] or DOTA I'd get mad, and say what's the bullcrap u want me to play..

Well I changed, but still dislike WoW n DOTA, it's just that I'm addicted to LoL so much...

There are champs, and minions... In normal life I can see people or stuff or anything and relate it to the game 0.o Yes I've gone insane I think?!

I even dream sometimes that we're in the game but in real life, know what I mean? like there are minions, lines and HP!

I tried playing with different champs but end up being a noob, it's Caitlyn who I can play with and be a pro =P I kept on playing Cait until I reached my 30th level, last level in the game ...

I don't think I can go one day without playing AT LEAST one game [figure of speech ofx]

My parents are annoyed, coz I play all the time...

what should I do everything else is just so boring -.-

Talking about the one you get to play on Facebook!

While ago when I had skola, and didn't want to sleep early, mom closed the ADSL coz she knew we'd use it, I had sony Ericsson W890i .. and it had sims, I played it for the sake of getting rid of boredom.. Useless I always said.

But ever since I started playing it on Facebook, I got addicted to it.

I love the fact you get to build your house the way u want it, I've always loved building houses and decorating it.

Dislike the fact that you have to ask friends for help, and wait til someone sends u what you asked for... But I know I'm damn addicted..

here's my humble house =P still working on it, I'm expending the land, it's the new offer =P I was hoping we could build 2nd floor but well..

I want to play the real sims, not the one on facebook..

Saw lots of videos on youtube, amazing houses and ideas.. Loved it!

ANGEL

As a kid, I remember watching few episodes, and it scared me sometimes... You know lots of demons!

Yes I'm talking about the TV show, ANGEL!

The Vampire who used to appear in buffy the Vampire slayer, well then he took another path and there was a show for himself.

Angel, a vampire like no other... Was turned into a vampire by that lady I dislike, when he was in Ireland dunno in which year =P and then he was cursed by gypsies ... they gave him soul!

and year later he moved to los Angles, his name was Angelus, but then he changed it into ANGEL.

He helps the people with the supernatural cases, kills the bad ones.

All that, because he feels guilty for whatever he did in the past.

Well, coz I had skola and the timing they showed it weren't appropriate for me I couoldn't catch up fully.

And now that I have nothing to do -except for waiting, till I go NEDERLANDS- I downloaded the first season and I'm watching it again...

in the first few episodes, there was Doyle, half human half demon who saw the visions and told angel who needs help and where.. he was a sweetheart, but well he died..

There is cordilia, she's talkative and blond with dark brown hair =P she's funny, doyle kissed her and gave her the gift of seeing visions.. and now Wesley joined em... he's a bit dumb but a pro when serious ...

Scholarship!

Okay, yea so I didn't post for so long.. I know... You can say I was so lazy, and enjoying the fact that I no longer have Skola!

I finished skola...

Yes ... I'm free now, everyone says Uni phase is the best but well from what I get from others who just started that Uni sux!

I've always wanted to go to USA... But well stuff changed, and I started thinking differently.

Since it's my blog, and I'm free to write what I want, I will ... 

Dad says it's not easy for a muslim girl to go to such country, since everything is complicated there after 9-11.. lol somehow, the immunity inside me grew and I don't want to go USA.. there might be other reasons ... 

A friend of mine, went to USA.. actually 2 friends and they're so happy, they don't find difficulties or anything - I envy them-.

Oh yea, the one thing that made people tell my parents not to let me study abroad is coz I have diabetes, SERIOUSLY PEOPLE? so what .. sigh

I got 90% -Hamdella-

I didn't study really very hard, something's wrong with me =S but I'm satisfied with my result.

And I got scholarship to NETHERLANDS!

yeey!

My friends went to UK and USA ... and I'm still here in Oman.. agh!

Not knowing if I'll travel on November, or February!

since the lady said, Netherlands don't give foundation year, or something like that..

To apply to uni it takes long time, she says if I applied in june, or end of may I would've gone in September and start with others, but because Oman's system is different and we get results by July, it's too late to get accepted!

and I got accepted, in Saxion.. I fought to go there =P 

I don't think I can wait til Feb, so I hope and pray I leave in Nov!!!
